Can I do this myself instead of paying for your service?

Yes. Writing, orchestrating, monitoring, and maintaining your own ComputerEase to Active Directory integration is doable. Here are some pointers.

Pull data from ComputerEase: Deltek publishes a ComputerEase REST Service for integration developers. Depending on your ComputerEase version and hosting, your options can also include file-based exports or working with Deltek ComputerEase support to enable API access. Pull only the fields the integration requires and leave sensitive payroll data alone.

Match up accounts: Once you've got employee data from ComputerEase, you'll need to match it up to existing Active Directory accounts. Store the ComputerEase employee number in Active Directory's employeeID attribute so the link survives name changes and email changes. For the initial backfill, match on name and email, review the ambiguous cases by hand, and only then turn the automation on.

Map data and push to Active Directory: A simple approach is PowerShell. The Import-CSV module is the easiest interface to use, paired with the ActiveDirectory module, specifically New-ADUser, Set-ADUser, Add-ADGroupMember, and Remove-ADGroupMember. You'll also need to figure out record lifecycles: what happens when employees join, leave, change names, etc.

Operationalize: After you've got the logic figured out, you'll want to set up monitoring to catch errors, alerting to let your team know when something requires their time, and training for the technicians who will be responsible. You'll also want to educate your HR and business teams about what to expect and how to get support.
